Blue After The Rain was inspired by a rainy day in Antwerp, Belgium.

The piece captures the image of rain falling endlessly onto the city's historic cobblestone streets, followed by the distinctive fragrance and atmosphere that emerge after the rain has passed.

Rather than depicting the rain itself, the work explores the emotional landscape that follows—the quiet reflections, renewed clarity, and subtle beauty found in the moments after a storm.

Through flowing melodic lines, resonant harmonies, and the rich tonal palette of the marimba, the piece invites performers and audiences alike into a world of calm introspection and gentle nostalgia.
